Slightly imaginative, but more rooted in reality, I draw inspiration from many places. I enjoy people-watching, pop culture, fashion, history, architecture, and design. My imagination is definitely my partner in crime, and sculpture allows me to combine these inspirations to create. I’m always building narratives on misapprehensions of found objects and materials. Found items are like treasure to me. There is a wonder and excitement in the excavation of these objects and materials that contribute to the narrative. I might misinterpret an image or form and at times it can get chaotic. But when I start to create from the materials in my collection I find clarity; translating the miscommunication of the chaos, telling and sharing a story with the viewer.

Almondcastle is a brand combining my inspirations under one umbrella. I approach all my work by finding an unrealized meaning in found materials, bringing them together to create a visual narrative
